Update on the Digital Product Wars…

Okay. I have been making some efforts at diversifying my available work. I have over seventy uncollected short stories, several novellas and collections that saw very limited print runs and have never been cheaply available, and it occurred to me that these would make the best start for an online digital presence.

I would put up novels, but most publishers don’t want to look at a manuscript these days if the digital rights aren’t available. I guess they are all moving to cover their bases in the same way that I am.

Anyway…I have three titles up in the KINDLE STORE at Amazon.com. I have a few up at Mobipocket (though I am now told that they charge an extra fee for US buyers because they are in France … makes me wonder…for what? It’s digital. Costs them the same for a US buyer to download it as a European buyer, but whatever.

The real news is that I’ve gotten almost all of that same content up now on my own site over at the MACABRE INK STORE. I now have a separate section there, Macabre Ink Digital. You can download the collections Spinning Webs & Telling Lies and Joined at the Muse, as well as a couple of short stories. I’m going to offer the stories for $1.00 each, or twelve for $9.99 and you can pick your own collection. Of course, I only have two uploaded so far, so you’ll have to wait for the collection option to appear. I hope I’ll see a few of you over there. The things I’m uploading are not encrypted, so almost any reader can read them – there are free readers from Kindle and Mobipocket that will read them for sure, and each download page in my store contains links to those free readers.

Go – download – enjoy!
