Okay, a few months ago I wrote a post where I asked people a few questions. I asked if – for starters – a book discount for people who followed me on Twitter would interest them in the book. The almost overwhelming answer was yes. In fact people said:
1) I’d rather buy through the author and make the author money.
2) I like the idea of a signed book.
3) I always love a discount.
There was more. My point is, I went ahead and made the arrangements for my next novel, “Vintage Soul,” which comes out this December, to be available through just such a discount…the details are here:

I have to say that – despite the initial enthusiasm – the result of this experiment has been, thus far, a bit underwhelming. Exactly one person has taken me up on my offer. This isn’t a whine, in case you’re wondering, but just a genuine curiosity whether I’ve misjudged this entire plan. It’s possible that with December still quite a ways away, I’m jumping the gun, and that Halloween will bring around a rash of orders…I’m patient, and I certainly have nothing to lose. The site and the discounts took some time to arrange and get up on the web, but that time is already spent.
Anyway…as an added incentive, I’ve decided to add one more incentive…
The book in question is Book I of The DeChance Chronicles. I will be writing Book II, Heart of a Dragon, during Nanowrimo this year (next month). You can register on the website and read along with me as I write it:
