It would be pretty silly to profile Twitter users and not profile Pete Cashmore. The blog he founded, Mashable, is pretty much THE hub for news on social media, and Twitter has certainly gotten its share of articles, app reviews, and notice. Mashable has a whole staff and cast of characters beyond Pete now – they get quoted regularly in the public media, and Mashable is one of the top popular blogs in existence.
Still, in the cool way that the Internet (and Twitter in particular) have of surprising you, you can find Pete hanging out on Twitter fairly often. He posts a lot of links to news and articles, but he posts about his life and world, as well, and he interacts with others. It goes without saying that he is one of those who fully “gets” what makes a network like Twitter work. He pays attention to what is happening and stays right on top of anything new. You can find most (if not all) of the staff of Mashable on Twitter as well, and it is an unending source of great new ways to improve, expand, and enjoy your personal or business social network.
And on top of all that, Pete is a genuinely nice guy.
