The Poetry

Here you’ll find links to some of the poetry I’ve written and published over the years. It’s not my focus, but it has always been important to me. I believe good poetry (particularly traditional forms) to be the most difficult written form. It is something that I’ve always been able to do … a gift I’m thankful for.

KELP QUEEN PRESS published a set of illustrated broadsides of poems I wrote on my last US Navy trip to Europe. These cover cities I visited with my buddy, Gary Markum. I wish I was still in touch with him – I’m in touch with Italy and Crete through these words.

Cities of Light and Darkness

Medieval Mutant Masters (Musings on Florence)

Thoughts on the Tower in Pisa

Contemplating the Ruins of Pompeii

St. Paul’s Basilica (A Cautionary Statement)

Upon Experiencing Rome

On the Doorstep of Knossos

The Acropolis
