I’ll post an excerpt as soon as they let me, but for the moment, I’m pleased as punch to share the cover art for Trish and I’s novel Stargate Atlantis: Brimstone – due out in February 2010…
It’s a little disappointing that Rodney didn’t make it onto the cover – he IS the hero (in my opinion) though Shepard has his moments. I hope that the SGA fans will love this. I’m actually a fan of the show, and am hoping to figure out what the “formula” is for SGU so I can pitch a novel for that as well.
In any case, this is up for pre-order at Amazon and B&N – the cover art isn’t there yet, but will be up there any day now. I want to thank my buddy Steve Savile for helping us get a shot at this novel, our editor Sally for putting up with us, and the cast of Stargate Atlantis for providing the kind of inspiration necessary to make writing a novel fun.
We did have fun with it, and I think we found some new things to do with the characters, as well as bringing back something from the show that real fans will remember. Time will tell.

As much as I love Rodney, Shep is definitely the hero of Atlantis, and hopefully he will get lots of play in your novel. I always like it when there is a team feeling with the 4 of them (Shep, Rodney, Teyla and Ronon) in a story, otherwise it leaves me cold. So here's hoping I'll love your story!
It's not ABOUT any of them. They are on a planet together, and they have to escape. Shepard has the biggest part page wise, I just think what Rodney does is the best part of the book – for me. Never fear, plenty of Shepard.
