Thirty days – 100 pages of script. That’s the challenge for Scriptfrenzy. Not exactly the same as working on a novel and doing 50k words in the same amount of time. It means three and and a half, or something like that, page every day without fail.
I have signed up every year for this thinking I’d do it, and every year I’ve not completed it. This year I’m going to take my screenplay that has sputtered and stopped and halted and hollered and hit the “redo” button. I’m going to rewrite “The Milk of Paradise” and finish it, because I actually have a director who is interested in it (and has been since I promised to write it long ago). I’m going to do this on top of the revision projects and the new book I’m writing at bedtime in the spiral notebook and the ghost-writing project I’m begun…
I’m going to do it because it will be fun, because I need to complete more things, and … well… because I have the urge to prove that I can…
For the moment, I’m going to join Ginger and stop to smell the flowers…then it’s plunging in in April and writing until this puppy is a screenplay… Should I create a site for people to read along? Who’s in?
